19th May 2020

Mumsy’s allowing former footballer Rio Ferdinand, actress Michelle Keegan, Paralympics champ Jonnie Peacock, TV and radio host Sara Cox and comedian Josh Widdicombe into The Crystal Maze today to film a one-off TV special. Stephen Merchant will be their guide to the maze, reprising Richard O’Brien’s iconic role more than 20 years later. The TV show will appear on our screens for the first time in two decades in October as part of Channel 4’s Stand Up To Cancer campaign.

“Seeing people’s joy at playing The Crystal Maze for themselves has been a dream and we’re overjoyed that the beautiful world we created will be the backdrop to such a special comeback and such a worthy cause,” says Crystal Maze live experience founder Tom Lionetti-Maguire.

The Crystal Maze is a Fizz production filmed with Little Lion Entertainment at The Crystal Maze Live Experience for Channel 4’s Stand up to Cancer campaign, and is sponsored by BT
