Christmas Holiday Vacancies: Crew - London

It is an opportunity to work in a popular interactive theatre setting.
Experience working as ASM, crew or back of house in an interactive theatre setting is key and availability on weekends and Mondays is essential.

These are examples of your key responsibilities and is the minimum required of you in this role. This is by no means an exhaustive list and other tasks and duties may be required.

Ideally, the role would suit someone with experience in back of house, crew or technical skills.

  • Responsible for the operational aspects of their Zone while working
  • Perform start of day checks and set up their Zone for the performance day and closing checks.
  • Reset games throughout the day as required.
  • Communicate with other Crew and Managers to ensure each show runs to time.
  • Report any problems to the relevant member of staff.
  • Maintain equipment as required.

At all times act as a fire safety marshal – training to be provided by LLE.

We are offering a competitive pro-rata salary which will be discussed during interviews.

Availability during weekends with good availability in November and December is essential for the potential casual crew.  Availability can be more flexible after holiday period is over.

Production & Maintenance Manager - Manchester

Core responsibilities of the Production and Maintenance Manager includes;

1. In-house maintenance of games using workshop tools & equipment
2. Third Party Contractor management
3. Equipment ordering
4. Audits and record keeping in accordance with company procedures

Reporting to the Operations Manager the Production and Maintenance Manager will work directly with the Show crew, Show Caller & Duty Managers and will undertake technical maintenance of games, Maze set and operate as the first point of contact for the building facilities.

The live attraction features an array of interactive games and the Maze set that needs to be maintained to ensure the highest standards for health & safety and guest enjoyment.

The correct applicant will have Back of house experience in theatre, events and workshops, have a hands on, practical nature, be prepared to get their hands dirty and be ready to proactively deal with issues as they arise, while managing contingency plans, a small crew and a maintenance budget.

 

Duties will include;  

  • Management of necessary game, set and building maintenance works
  • Reporting of problems outside of existing knowledge (3rd party specialist work)
  • Organize and liaise with third-party contractors to supply
  • Weekly H&S audits & record keeping
  • First responder to issues related to building, set and games.
  • Point of contact for visiting 3rd Party contractors responsible for M&E, structural, lighting, audio
  • Act as a fire marshal and first responder to fire related issues
  • Responsible for ensuring H&S is adhered to during the live experience
  • Management and reconciliation monthly budget for building and show related problems, issues, any fixes, costings, etc.

Applicants must be competent in manual handling, operations of ladders and workshop tools. All staff will be provided with Health & Safety & first aid training as part of the induction process.

Crystal Maze Crew - Manchester

Little Lion Entertainment is now hiring Crew for the Manchester Crystal Maze LIVE Experience, the popular 90’s TV show in which guest’s experience Aztec, Medieval, Industrial and Future zones as they gain Crystals gaining them time within the Crystal Dome. It is an opportunity to work in a popular interactive theatre setting.

Attraction Manager - Crystal Maze LIVE Experience - London

1. Provide effective communication between all Duty Managers and the Operations Manager at the London Crystal Maze LIVE Experience.
2. Create and Monitor Duty Manager Rota allocations.
3. Ensure effective timekeeping of site reports to be provided by the DM team.
4. Provide support to the DM team and arrange regular status meetings with them.
5. Act as DM for the site within the DM Rota providing cover where needed.
6. Act as a contact between site management team and senior management team.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Attraction Manager will work directly with the Duty Managers to ensure consistently high standards are achieved, goals and targets are being met, and to help develop the site Management team.

Providing a direct link between the senior management team and site Management, you will be set key tasks to help improve and maintain the site, arrange various site visits from contractors and approved visitors, and take on the management of the administration of site checks with an overview of Health and Safety. Your main focus will be the growth of the management team and site, as well as ensuring all reporting is pulled together from the team to enable effective weekly communication.

Key duties;

  • Management of the Duty Management team.
  • Site Management in the absence of the Operations Manager
  • Monthly H&S audits & record keeping
  • Act as DM as part of the management team.
  • Point of contact for visiting 3rd Party contractors responsible for M&E, structural, lighting, audio, visitors to site…
  • Liaise with senior management team in areas of development or ad hoc reasonable requests
