A brand new series of the Crystal Maze is coming to your TV screens this year and will be hosted by comedian Richard Ayoade. Following the success of the one-off celebrity special for Stand Up To Cancer, which was filmed at our London Maze earlier this year, Channel 4 has given the go-ahead for a whole new series to air during 2017

“The Stand Up To Cancer special was so brilliant and so successful that commissioning a series of The Crystal Maze was almost a no-brainer,” says Channel 4 commissioning entertainment editor, Tom Beck.

As well as a new Crystal Maze TV series this year, a new Live Experience is coming to the UK in 2017 in the form of our new Maze at the Old Granada TV studios in the heart of Manchester. Featuring 24 brand new games spread across the iconic Aztec, Future, Medieval and Industrial Zones, our new Crystal Maze Live Experience is poised to set a new standard in immersive entertainment.

“The Crystal Maze in Manchester is seriously going to blow people’s minds,” says Crystal Maze Live Experience CEO Tom Lionetti-Maguire. “The giant studio actually surpasses the size, scale and spectacle of the original 1990s show. I have never seen anything of its like. Each zone is absolutely vast and we will be creating a greater depth than has ever been seen before.”
