A JOURNEY THROUGH TIME

Hosted by the ever so glamorous Richard O'Brien, The Crystal Maze made its TV debut in the '90s on Channel 4, and for the first time ever, contestants took on the maze together.

Participants would travel through the maze, completing various types of challenges across 4 zones including Aztec, Industrial, Futuristic and Medieval.

As a fun fact, the Ocean zone was later introduced, replacing the Industrial zone for the remainder of the show's initial run. This one is not currently featured in our LIVE EXPERIENCE, but with the maze, you never know what the future holds...

Opening originally in North London, The Crystal Maze LIVE EXPERIENCE was born, making you the stars of the show, and received a huge amount of support from lovers of the original show, becoming the live-action sensation it remains today.

Additionally, for an extra special cause, The Crystal Maze TV show made a comeback, hosted instead by Stephen Merchant and subsequently Richard Ayoade in support of Stand Up to Cancer.

After the huge success of The Crystal Maze LIVE EXPERIENCE in London, we listened to the overwhelming demand for more adventure -and so, we brought the attraction to Manchester, too!

Nestled right in the heart of Manchester City Centre, in Castlefield, it’s perfectly located between the iconic Science & Industry Museum and the lively Arcade Arena.

Manchester boasts not only a rich industrial and cultural heritage but also a thriving entertainment scene, making it the perfect home for The Crystal Maze LIVE EXPERIENCE. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, it’s an unmissable chance to step into the action, test your skills, and relive the nostalgia of the legendary TV show.

Continuing to be hosted by Richard Ayoade, the show was renewed for a reboot, playing more in-line with the original '90s version.

This version featured the 4 original zones again, with the twist of featuring a 'Mega Crystal', which is not present in the LIVE EXPERIENCE, granting even more time in the Crystal Dome.

Then came the time to pack up the London maze and move to a brand new venue so that we could amp up the experience even more!

When the scope of a project widens, it needs a bigger foundation. To realise this new scope, The Crystal Maze LIVE EXPERIENCE moved into the West End, and it has felt right at home there ever since.

The TV show saw its final episodes in March 2020, marking the end of the series' run.

Its final episode was a Celebrity Christmas Special which aired on December 31st, hosted by Richard Ayoade.

While the show may have aired its final episodes, our LIVE EXPERIENCE lives on today, bringing all the antics straight from the show into the hands of its loyal fans!

So, what's next?

We are now approaching one incredible milestone which is our 10th anniversary!
