A Decade in the Making
When The Crystal Maze Experience first opened its doors in London in 2016, the question was simple: could a beloved 90s TV show be brought back to life as something people could actually step inside and play? Ten years on, the answer is a resounding, crystal-collecting yes.
We've welcomed over a million guests through our zones, updated and evolved our games continuously, and just this year opened the brand-new Ocean Zone - our most requested addition ever. We're not just one of the coolest things to do in London. We're the longest-running immersive experience on the planet.
The Night London Stepped Inside the Maze
On 27 March 2026, we threw ourselves the birthday party we deserved. The maze was transformed - karaoke echoing through the Aztec Zone, nail art stations, face-painted jungle performers roaming the corridors, and an event-exclusive Teremana Tequila bar keeping the energy exactly where it needed to be.
Then came the surprises. A stunning drag king dressed as none other than Richard O'Brien himself burst out of a cake mid-party. The room lost its mind. And then, in the most gloriously chaotic twist of the evening, a secret special guest nobody saw coming made his grand entrance: Mr Blobby. The nineties, officially, were back.
The soundtrack was handled by Ashley "Twist" Glazebrook of Britain's Got Talent Champions winners Twist and Pulse, who kept the 90s and 00s bangers rolling all night long.
Among the guests celebrating with us were The Traitors stars Ellie and Ross, who described it as the ultimate date night - and honestly, we have to agree. Drag Race UK winner Kyran Thrax, Married at First Sight's April Holmes, and a host of leading creators and social personalities were also in attendance, all putting their skills to the test in the Aztec Zone and the new Ocean Zone before experiencing the Crystal Dome itself.
As our CEO Tom Lionetti-Maguire put it: "Celebrating ten years is an incredible milestone for us. The Crystal Maze Experience is the world's longest-running continuous immersive experience, and seeing so many fans and friends of the maze come together to celebrate was truly special. After a decade on the block, we're still delivering an incredible, unique experience that guests love."
