Frequently Asked Questions and AnswersThe Crystal Maze is a TV game show, originally broadcast in the 1990s on Channel 4 in the UK. The show now airs on Channel 4 in the UK and Nickelodeon in the US. Originally hosted by Richard O’Brien, teams of players explore 4 themed Zones, collecting crystals by completing 1 player,2-3 minute, physical, skill, mental or mystery games. Each crystal won gives you 5 seconds of time in The Crystal Dome where the entire team would collect tokens to determine their final score.
The Crystal Maze LIVE Experience is a live, immersive attraction based on the original TV Show. The attraction follows the same premise of the show across 75 minutes of unadulterated fun and games. The LIVE Experience is NOT recorded for television broadcast.
All the TV Maze Masters have either moved onto other projects. We have a team of our very own Maze Masters, all just as zany, to guide you on your journey through The Crystal Maze.
Bomber jackets are only provided for photo opportunities at the Crystal Dome.
As The Crystal Maze LIVE Experience is a physical activity, bomber jackets can quickly make the temperature uncomfortable for guests once inside the attraction.
Current prices range from £59 to £84 (inclusive of booking fees) per person when you book online, depending on the date and time of day you book for. Prices are subject to change and based on availability, so we advise to book early for the best price.

The Crystal Maze LIVE Experience London is not currently wheelchair accessible.
The Experience is designed to be played in teams of up to 8, if you book for less than 8 people you may be joined by other players to make up your numbers.
In certain circumstances it may be necessary to split bookings of less than 8 to accommodate all bookings in the booking window.
Booking in multiples of 8 is the best way to guarantee not mixing with other bookings.

The Crystal Maze LIVE Experience London welcomes teams of up to eight people, larger groups will need to split across multiple teams.

The Crystal Maze LIVE experience is a live event, as such once purchased, all tickets are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another date.
The Crystal Maze LIVE Experiences takes approximately 75 minutes to complete. All guests select a 30 minute window prior to their experience to ensure entry, so expect to be with us for just over 2 hours.
We accept printed tickets or are able to scan from a phone screen, provided the screen is clear and not damaged.

Please arrive within your selected 30 minute arrival window to guarantee entry. Whilst we make every effort to accommodate you, we cannot guarantee entry for latecomers.
We are a cashless attraction. We are only able to accept card payments at The Crystal Maze LIVE Experience London .
Car – we’re on Shaftesbury Ave, London W1D 7EU. There are some car parks nearby.
Tube – the nearest station is Piccadilly Circus.
Bus – Routes 14, 19 and 38 routes stop just outside The Maze. Please check the TFL website for further details.
Unfortunately, there are no opportunities for spectators at The Crystal Maze LIVE Experience. Those who do not wish to take part are welcome to wait in our neighbouring bar Figaro’s whilst the experience takes place.
We cannot allow entry to anyone suspected of consuming alcohol or illegal substances prior to the experience. Be responsible, be sensible, and save the celebrations until after the experience.
The Crystal Maze LIVE Experience is a physical activity and we’d advise to wear clothes you are comfortable being active in. It can get warm inside The Maze, so dressing lightly is recommended. We do not recommend wearing shorts or skirts, as these are unsuitable for certain activities in The Maze. Open toed and heeled shoes are strictly prohibited.
Fancy dress is permitted but please remember we are a family attraction and you may be asked to remove items deemed inappropriate.
Complimentary lockers are provided to store your belongings.
Branded bomber jackets are only provided for photo opportunities in the attraction.
Photography and recording equipment are strictly prohibited inside The Maze. Guests will be asked to store any such equipment in lockers provided before starting the experience. We do take some photos for you as you travel through our Zones, and these are for sale in our shop at the end of your journey.
We do not film any portion of the show for broadcast and if you do not wish to be photographed, please let our Front of House team know.
As a Central London attraction we do not have our own car parking facilities.

Whilst we will make every effort to accommodate you, we cannot guarantee entry for latecomers.
As an indoor attraction we run no matter the weather and cannot offer refunds or rebookings.
If we ever have to cancel a show because of severe weather, we’ll announce it on our social media feeds and do all we can to contact everybody who’s booked.

Lockers are provided free of charge to store your belongings and valuables. We do not have storage facilities for larger items such as travel cases and suitcases. Items are stored at your own risk and wee take no responsibility for lost or damaged items left in lockers.
Our neighbouring bar, Figaro’s offers an escape to the South of France with a range of crisp wines, fresh beers and a wide selection of spirits and soft drinks.
A selection of bottled water and soft drinks is also available from our gift shop.
Please note, guests should not consume alcohol prior to the experience.
The Crystal Maze LIVE Experience is only open to guests aged 9+. Bookings with guests aged under 18 must have 1 paying and playing adults (18+) per team. 9-17 year olds attending without an accompanying adult will not be able to play and no refund will be offered/ given.
There are no height or weight restrictions to enter The Maze. A small number of challenges within The Maze may have individual weight/height restrictions.
Unfortunately, we are unable to admit entry to anyone who is pregnant.
The Crystal Maze LIVE Experience is a physical activity, if you can stay standing for the 75 minute duration and are able to walk up and down several flights of stairs at a normal pace, you should be fine to take part. You will be asked to sign a waiver stating that you understand participation is at your own risk.

The Summer School takes place over the course of five mornings; four of these are spent training and learning from our host of professional actors and comedians, creating a Maze Master persona and taking place in workshops including confidence building, comedy or performing skills and the Friday morning is spent performing to a group of invited friends and family. Each morning session will begin at 9am and finish at 12pm.
Whilst you can leave your child during the sessions, we do ask that all parents arrange to drop off and pick up their children at the beginning and end of each session to help us with safeguarding. Should you wish to stay on site whilst the children take part in the course, please make this request to [email protected] alongside your booking details and we will do the best to accommodate this request.
We do ask that all children that may have special educational needs have a guardian or carer that stays with them throughout the course to ensure that they get the best out of the experience.
The sessions are hosted at The Crystal Maze LIVE Experience sites in either London or Manchester. Please ensure that you are booking for the correct location.
We welcome children who have learning difficulties to the course. Most of our hosts have experience of working with those with learning difficulties in some way. We do ask however, that a guardian or carer remains with their child throughout the course to ensure they get the best out of their experience.

Children should wear clothes that they feel most comfortable in and includes closed in shoes and no heels. They will be given a t-shirt as part of their course cost, although they are not obligated to wear this throughout the course.
All children will be given a t-shirt as part of their course entrance fee and are made to order, so a child’s t-shirt size is required in advance. We will also provide refreshments such as water and snacks including fruit each morning, so please do let us know if your child should have any allergies to any food or other items.
Upon booking, you will be asked to note down your preferred show time for the Friday morning. Please note that whilst we will make every effort to make your ideal show time work, this cannot be guaranteed, and will not be confirmed until nearer the time.
Yes, each child’s entrance fee includes four tickets for friends or family (must be aged 9+ years old and those under 18 accompanied by an adult at all times) to watch their show and play The Crystal Maze as standard. If you should wish to bring additional team members, you can add on a maximum of four others at a cost of £20 each. This must be done via our guest services team after booking. Please email them on [email protected] with your booking details for them to assist.
Crystal Camp is available for children aged between 9 and 16 years old. To ensure all children get the most out of their experience, these ages will be split over two weeks; Week 1 (hosted between the 7th and 11th August 2023) will be for those aged 9-12 years of age, and Week 2(hosted between the 14th and 18th August 2023) for those aged 13-16 years of age.
Yes. Week 1 will run from the 7th – 11th August 2023 for those aged 9-12 years of age, and week 2 will run from the 14th – 18th August 2023 for those aged 13 – 16 years of age at both the Manchester and London locations.
All of the actors that lead the courses have been vetted by the Disclosure and Barring service.
